A STUDENT from St Joseph's School is launching a youth magazine.
Ryan Warden has set up the magazine, called Vibe, in collaboration with Salisbury Radio as part of his Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award.
Ryan intends to amplify young voices in Salisbury, and the magazine, written and created by local youths, is to print 2,000 copies three times a year.
Ryan said: "The city of Salisbury desperately needs something that the younger generation WANTS to read rather than constantly seeing articles about financial struggles and inflation plastered everywhere, and nothing that they can read and relate to.
"We want teenagers to be appreciated instead of forgotten. I am doing this because I strongly believe that all young people need to be inspired and recognised for what they do.
"We plan to create an eye-catching magazine that young people will want to read and learn about what they can do and what others have been doing.
"We also aspire to create a podcast for young people to listen to and maybe even cover shows and other local events."
Andy Munns, a director at Salisbury Radio, said: "We are delighted to be supporting Ryan with his project. It's an exciting proposition, and we can't wait to see what is produced."
