WATERMAN Stan Peacefully on 11th October 2014 aged 87 years, of Sandleheath. Loving husband of Jean and a much loved father of Peter, Diane and Phil and Sal, very much loved granddad of Sarah, Ricky, Kelly and Katie, great-granddad of Luke and Lewis. Funeral Service at St Mary’s Church, Fordingbridge on Tuesday 21st October 2014 at 12 noon. Dear Jean and family,
This is Paul, Myra & Tom's son and Aunty Eveline's grandson. I am so sorry to hear of Stan's passing. I came across the notice just by chance as I was looking for details of my great-grandfather, Thomas who owned the mill at Bickton. My mother passed away at the age of 91 just four years ago, I wanted to let you know but had no address. I always remember with great affection meeting you all at Aunty Eveline's in Farnham, and the High Teas we used to have when you visited, in the 'Breakfast Room' at 4A The Borough. The last time I saw Stan was in his shop when my mother and I had visited Bickton and decided to call in to Fordingbridge on the chance that she remembered where his shop was. It was also then that we learned of Peter's sad demise. My two brothers, Michael and Nigel, are both living in east Hants, I myself have just moved to west Hants, and very much intend to visit Bickton and Fordingbridge again as I am very interested in our family history.... Well I thought I would just send you my heartfelt sympathy and many fond memories of Stan and yourselves. With much love from Paul.
