Why is it that we women put ourselves right at the bottom of our to do list?

Family, Friends and even our pets can take priority over looking after yourself

I've worked with a lot of women who feel they have lost their identity, who feel invisible and lost

Women who tell me they just don't recognise who they've become and want to feel alive again

Women who say they struggle fitting everything in and just don't have time for themselves

We live in a 24/7 world where 'normal' office hours just don't exist anymore which means we never really have any downtime and find it hard to say no

Sacrificing our own need and desires to make others happy can lead to resentment, exhaustion and even depression

When you're overwhelmed with life, it can be hard to envisage how you can claw your way back some 'Me Time'

Carrying on pushing through without any regard for your own well being often leads to a huge crash as you eventually burn out

Saying No might seem an impossible task right now but will get easier the more you practice it

Choose one day a week and put aside just one hour for a spot of me time

Run a bath, LOCK the door and read a book

Take a long walk without the kids bickering in your ear

Or head off to try a local yoga class where you will focus on mind and body

But do make time for yourself, after all no one else is right now
