Two-year-old Mellissa Hood, known as Missy, who has cerebral palsy, is in America for dorsal rhizotomy surgery to be able to walk on her flat feet after a campaign by her parents raised the £50,000 needed to fund the surgery. Here her mother Lucy writes about their experiences.
