LAW firm Trethowans has made a £1,000 donation to the Joe Glover Trust, which is one of two nominated charities for the Salisburybased firm.

The Joe Glover Trust was formed in 2007 following the death of eight-year-old Joe Glover to non-hodgkins lymphoma, and is run by parents who have first-hand experience of such life changing events.

Jane Wilmshurst, the trust’s regional officer who received the cheque, said: “This will really help us continue to support families going through a very difficult time while their child is receiving treatment for cancer.

“In 2012 we have supported more than 60 families with financial grants, which is a substantial increase on previous years.

“In addition, we have developed other projects such as our days out programme and the iPad loan scheme.

“Trethowans’ support to the charity is invaluable and we really do appreciate it.”

Suzanne Foster from Trethowans said: “We are delighted to be able to make this donation to the Joe Glover Trust, which makes such a difference to children’s lives.”
