A CHILDREN’S tennis club business that was runner up in last year’s Local Business Accelerator competition is going from strength to strength.
Teacher and tennis coach Henry Lamb was mentored by entrepreneur Lara Morgan, who he stayed in contact with after the competition.
“I didn’t win last year because I was part-time, so I jumped in fulltime just after Christmas,” he said.
The company now runs term time programmes as well as after school and holiday tennis camps at nine schools in London and at Salisbury Cathedral School.
Mr Lamb is also organising a language and sport residential camp in Provence in August, open to children aged ten to 16.
Children will have three hours of language lessons in the morning, followed by sport coaching sessions in the afternoon, which combine learning and fun.
There is also free time at the weekend and the opportunity to explore the area.
Mr Lamb, who grew up in Salisbury and went to Chaffyn Grove School, said: “Meeting Lara Morgan and entering the LBA inspired me to go fulltime and launch my company properly.”
