THE Salisbury Branch of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) held its annual meeting at the Milford Hall Hotel earlier this month, followed by a networking event.

Incoming chairman Mary Webb thanked her predecessor Tony Quinn for all his hard work over the past three years.

“It has been a challenging time, for small businesses in particular, during the recession, but small businesses in Salisbury and south Wiltshire have proved how flexible and resilient they can be in tough times,” said Mr Quinn.

“We have representatives on the BID proposal, Salisbury First and Business Alliance and are partnering with Salisbury Chamber of Commerce and City Centre Management to ensure the Salisbury voice is heard at government level.”

Mrs Webb said her priority for the coming year is to build on Mr Quinn’s hard work – including the FSB Salisbury Trade Fair.
