THREE local organisations will be getting mentoring and support for 2014 after winning a community award.

MG Cannon, the longest established accident repair centre in the Salisbury area, has announced the winners of its MG Cannon in the Community awards.

Number Sixty Hair & Beauty won the Business Award, the Salisbury street pastors were the winners of the Community Group Award while Salisbury Shopmobility won the Charity Award.

The winners were selected by a panel of judges from a shortlist and will now get thousands of pounds worth of free coaching, mentoring and support services from MG Cannon.

Brian Percey from Salisbury Street Pastors said: “We are all about partnership so I think it is fantastic that a local business is willing to form ongoing structured partnerships with local organisations and I’m absolutely delighted that we have won.”

MG Cannon managing director Robert Snook said: “Voting was very close because the merits of the shortlisted entries were so consistently high. The judges have told me that their decisions were not easy.

“However, we have three fantastic and worthy winners who support the community across all ages, lifestyles and areas.”

Updates on support and achievements of the award winners will be posted on the MG Cannon website, mgcannon.

com, throughout the year and there will be a link for businesses to apply for a 2015 community partnership.
