THE first apprentices taken on by Salisbury Medical Practice are celebrating success.
The apprentices have completed their intermediate apprenticeship in business administration.
Josie Esser, the first to complete her training, said: “It’s the best decision I ever made. I enjoy learning by doing the job, and the work is so varied.
Not only was I able to develop my administrative skills but I was also given the opportunity to train as a phlebotomist and take blood. I have enjoyed this so much, I am now doing an advanced apprenticeship in clinical support while training as a healthcare assistant and am considering nursing as a career.”
The surgery will be looking to recruit more apprentices later in the year and will be running an open day for those interested in May. Further details will be available at salisburymedicalpractice.co.uk.
