BUSINESSES can now register to attend the Wiltshire Business Expo 2014.

The event is dedicated to showcasing local companies and exploring ways in which digital technology can boost business.

This year’s event will be held on June 19 at Monkton Park in Chippenham and will focus on harnessing digital technology to boost business.

So far more than 100 companies have registered an interest to take part.

The event is free to attend and includes a number of seminars on the digital theme including: n Keeping ahead of the latest digital technology and using it to promote your business.

  •  Making sure your website is user friendly.
  •  Successful business networking online and offline.

It will also include the Wealth of Wiltshire Fayre showcasing the county’s wines, food, produce and drink.

Jane Scott, leader of Wiltshire Council and chairman of the Legacy Steering Board, said: “Last year’s event was a resounding success. I am delighted we have decided to build on this success and deliver another Expo event.

“Working together with businesses to boost the local economy and create and safeguard jobs is a key priority for the council. The Business Expo is an opportunity to bring businesses and local people together to network and explore new mutually beneficial opportunities.

“I am pleased that this year we will also be hosting a Wealth of Wiltshire Fayre, which will promote the very best of Wiltshire’s food and drink. The event focuses on highlighting Wiltshire’s businesses and strengthening the local economy.”
