FASHION expert Wayne Hemingway and food entrepreneur Levi Roots entertained and inspired Salisbury’s businessmen and women last week with talks and tips on how to achieve success.

The two well-known names were among those to attend this year’s Big Business event at The Guildhall, which ran from Wednesday to Friday.

The event offered businesses the chance to take part in free networking, workshops and seminars over three days, with exhibitors on hand to offer free advice and guidance.

There were also breakfast and evening networking events and the event hosted the Chamber of Commerce 90-minutes lunch on Wednesday with guest speaker Brandon Lewis MP.

The event was organised and sponsored by Salisbury City Council, Wiltshire Council, Trethowans Solicitors, Salisbury Business Improvement District, Federation of Small Businesses, Blue Frontier and Salisbury Chamber of Commerce.

Claire Burden from Salisbury City Council said: “This year, highlights included welcoming Levi Roots and Wayne Hemingway.

The businesses who saw them went away completely inspired.

“We are delighted with the number of businesses we have seen through the door and we have received really positive feedback, especially about the social media, with many businesses starting Twitter accounts based on the training they received at the event.

“We enjoyed working with our partners and sponsors and we are looking forward to the next event.”
