LANDMARC Support Services in Tilshead has announced a new partnership that will help hundreds of former service personnel get into business.

The firm, which is an international provider of training and infrastructure solutions, has established firm links with the Armed Forces through years of support, and will partner with XForces to provide support and mentors to work with the entrepreneurs from its rural enterprise hub in Netheravon.

This will allow access to office and meeting space, which is essential to helping new businesses get started.

Head of sustainability Mat Roberts said: “At Landmarc we’re committed to supporting grass roots innovations in rural communities.

“Last year we launched our ‘Landmarc 100’ scheme to help small businesses with start-up costs and mentoring support. They will benefit from funding and support tailored to their needs.”

Launched in 2013, X-Forces has already issued more than £1m in start-up loans.

Founder and chief executive officer Ren Kapur said “Landmarc’s relationship with X-Forces will be invaluable in supporting the exservices community, including reservists and spouses.

“They are an ideal partner and are already immersed in the military community, with them as a corporate member we’re able to extend the support we can give to these ambitious individuals.”
