A NEW service to help people access care has been launched in Tisbury.

JEG Consultancy was launched by Janet Golder at the Nadder Hall on July 11 with lots of people from the health and social care sector attending.

Ms Golder said there has been a big change in the way social and health care are delivered over the past 20 years and, with the Government passing the Care Act 2014, the emphasis will be on self directed care, where everyone has to take responsibility for arranging their own care provision.

“The prospect of determining which is the appropriate care pathway for you, your relative or friend when having to deal with the stress of illness is daunting. How to claim and attract the correct benefit is perhaps ever more so, and all of this when people are at their most vulnerable. It is a huge task and this is where JEG Consultancy can help.

“My driving passion is enabling everyone who is needy to be able to access the care they are entitled to.”
