THE manager of the Alice Lisle pub in Ringwood has achieved master cellerman status for the exceptional quality of beer that her pub serves.

Hannah Jezard took the prize that is awarded to Fuller’s pubs managers for scoring more than 96 per cent in four visits from mystery shoppers.

She said: “It’s an amazing honour to be given this status.

“We work really hard at The Alice Lisle to make sure each pint is of the best quality possible and it’s great to be recognised in this way.”

The head brewer at Fuller’s, John Keeling, said that it was a pleasure to be able to give the award to somebody who lived and breathed ale.

He added: “You can be safe in the knowledge that the beer they serve is in the best possible condition, just as it is when it leaves the brewery gates.”
