A TEAM of Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) employees took a day away from their regular duties to help a local project.
Ten employees from the IT team in Portsmouth spent a day sprucing up a village hall which provides social events for people in The Langfords, near Salisbury.
They painted a number of rooms as well as cleaning the gutters and making general improvements to the interior.
Dawn Watson from SSE said: “The team all set about their tasks with gusto and those who were not painting took to washing the guttering and outside paintwork. The whole day was helped out by absolutely brilliant weather, bacon butties and the ladies of the village providing copious quantities of cakes, teas and coffees.
We’re delighted with the difference we’ve been able to make.”
