A SALISBURY pub is set to cut the price of its food and drink by seven and a half per cent on Wednesday, September 24 as part of the national Tax Equality Day.
The King’s Head Inn in Bridge Street is backing the campaign which is aimed at highlighting the benefit of reducing VAT in the hospitality industry to five per cent.
A spokesperson said: "We are proud to support the campaign to reduce the level of VAT within the pub industry.
"Customers coming to the pub on Wednesday September 24 will find the price of their food and drink is lower than normal.
"We are keen to highlight the amount customers would save if VAT in pubs was lowered.”
