WILTON’S business owners met their customers and colleagues at the town’s annual business showcase.

The Wilton Event is a chance for traders, crafts people, business owners and representatives from a wide range of community organisations to show the public what they offer.

The event was opened by Salisbury MP John Glen and Mayor of Wilton Phil Matthews.

Now in its second year, it was organised by Wilton and District Business Chamber.

It is hoped the event, where commerce meets the community, will now become a regular fixture.

A total of 45 Wilton businesses exhibited at The Wilton Event and around 3,000 people visited throughout the day. There were also demonstrations, food and drink tastings, a fashion show, craft and beauty stalls, lifestyle advice and information about a variety of professional services.

Visitors also went away with promotional material highlighting the range of businesses that Wilton has to offer.
