STONEHENGE Chamber of Trade’s Business-2-Business Showcase & Networking Event 2014 was another huge success, with stands a sell out and a fantastic atmosphere on the day.

The chamber opened the doors at Antrobus House, Amesbury for the eighth event, when chairman James Johnston of GMTS Workwear Ltd introduced Wiltshire Council leader Jane Scott, who gave the welcoming address.

There were more than 35 exhibitors from Amesbury and the surrounding area, all of whom had made a tremendous effort with their stands, creating a visually impressive business expo for the enjoyment of visitors. Councillor Scott visited all the stands, awarding local Amesbury business The Organza Room ‘best stand’ – their prize was dinner donated by the Holiday Inn Salisbury-Stonehenge.

Ross Nichols of Business Mentoring Services said: “The Stonehenge B2B is now firmly established in my annual calendar as my favourite trade show. This year was my third as an exhibitor and I enjoyed meeting new people and developing relationships with those I already know, which is equally important.”

Refreshments were free and everyone enjoyed afternoon tea courtesy of the Holiday Inn Salisbury-Stonehenge and canapés with a glass of fizz thanks to the Antrobus Arms Hotel, Amesbury. Salisbury Lions managed car parking for the event.

James Johnston, chairman of the Stonehenge Chamber of Trade, said: “The chamber would like to thank all the exhibitors and visitors who attended and making this year another great success and helping to maintain the Amesbury town profile.

“The opening by Councillor Jane Scott was particularly important this year with the town considering a Business Improvement District and the message her attendance sends to the business community of Amesbury. The event would not be possible without the hard work of all the committee and this year Lindsey Brown Burden of LBB Business Solutions who coordinated the event for this first time on our behalf.”

There is already interest for next year’s event from exhibitors.
