THE last ten years has seen an explosion in the UK Financial Services sector as financial products including investments, pensions and mortgages have evolved in complexity and design.

Salisbury-based James Hay Partnership has been part of this huge expansion. It currently employs 500 people working mainly in administrative and account executive roles offering investment and pension products and now the company is on the recruitment trail. It wants fresh young talent.

It chose to lift its profile at the Salisbury Journal Jobs Fair in a talent-spotting exercise led by its recruitment guru Sally Hudson.

She was impressed by the buzz surrounding the event. “We currently need about 30 recruits,” she said.

“We have been pleasantly surprised by some of the people passing through today.

“We need intelligent, articulate people to come into this profession. “People with a minimum C-grade in maths and English at A level are ideal.

“We are offering a proper salaried job with in-house training in financial services.

“The rewards are good from day one, with a starting salary between £14,000 and £16,000.

“There are fine prospects for progressing rapidly through the company’s promotion structure with much higher rewards for high fliers in terms of salary.”
