WESTOVER Group raised a colossal £4,420 for Macmillan Cancer Support at its World’s Biggest Coffee Mornings.
The group held coffee mornings in each of its 24 car showrooms across Dorset and Wiltshire, serving hundreds of cups of tea and coffee and selling dozens of delicious home-made cakes and treats to peckish passers-by.
“We are so grateful to everyone who popped in on the day and helped us generate this huge sum of money,” says Mike Boyd, Westover Group director.
“Big thanks are due to our teams too, who threw themselves into the coffee mornings – not only baking, setting-up and serving, but also generously buying and eating cakes throughout the day.”
In addition to cake donations of £1,300 received on the day, Westover Group contributed 50p for every cup of tea or coffee served, £5 for every test drive or service appointment carried out and £50 for every new or used car sold on the day.
