A SALISBURY up-cycling company is moving to a new city centre location following a successful year of trading.

Poppy Lu’s Boutique has moved into Cross Keys Chequer after the small gift shop has grown and developed a regular client base.

It is also known for its furniture up-cycling, turning tired furniture into beautiful pieces to show off.

The owner Rachel Jennings said it is all about using British products to turn tired old products into something that is the centrepiece of the house.

She said: “The move so far has been totally worth it. We are now open seven days a week and we have hired a new member of staff.

“I try to use as many local suppliers as much as possible and I buy all my paint from a store on Fisherton Street.

“The secret behind my success as a business is that I didn’t borrow any money before starting up. I reinvest the money I make.

“Currently I am making all the products in my conservatory so the next stage is to get a workshop.

“Most of my products are sourced from eBay or house clearing and my message is that anything can be up-cycled.”
