A FAMILY-RUN funeral director’s in Salisbury celebrated the official opening of its chapel of rest.
More than 20 well-wishers came along to a dedication and blessing ceremony at Darren MacDonald Funeral Directors Ltd in Pennyfarthing Street.
The service was carried out by Reverend David Linaker, Canon Michael Fitzpatrick and Reverend David Hookins on Thursday, December 4. A special plaque was unveiled during the service.
The funeral directors opened its doors in September and is run by Darren MacDonald.
He said: “It’s a privilege to serve the local people and very much our vision and dream for the place. Everyone’s been so supportive of the new business in our community.
“This is the first generation of the family business,” added Mr MacDonald.
