A NEW hair salon has opened its doors – setting up shop in one of Salisbury’s oldest buildings.

Seven Ivy Hairdressing is run by Dan Smith, together with his small team of stylists and colourists.

The business, which is located at 7 Ivy Street, opened four weeks ago and the building itself dates back to 1558.

“We have been really busy from day one,” says Dan.

“We have been pretty much fully booked.”

On February 10, Seven Ivy will be expanding the services it currently offers to customers. As part of the new venture called The Parlour, the salon will be joining forces with beauty therapist Stephanie Neal to offer a range of beauty treatments including facials and massages.

“I am really excited about it,” adds Dan, who has been a hairdresser for more than 15 years and has previously worked at Vidal Sassoon and Toni and Guy.

“It is something I have always wanted to do.

“It is nice to be collaborating with Stephanie to offer another side to the business, which should work well.”

The salon uses Kevin Murphy products, which are “sulphate free, parabin free, and cruelty free”.

It is also the only hair care range to have a Peta certificate. For more details pop into the salon or call 01722 340447.
