SOLICITORS Richard Griffiths & Co have proved that where there is a will, there is definitely a way – raising more than £11,000 for charity during November 2014’s Will Aid campaign.

Will Aid clients were offered a basic will and asked to consider making a voluntary donation instead of paying the firm’s usual fees.

Local will-makers responded with enthusiasm and gave generously.

The money raised is shared by nine UK charities, including ActionAid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, NSPCC, Save the Children, SCIAF in Scotland, Sightsavers and Trocaire in Northern Ireland. The funds raised are already being put to work by the Will Aid charities.

The firm first took part in the Will Aid scheme in 2012, and has now raised a grand total of £28,380.

Pat Lush, head of wills and probate, said: “We think Will Aid is a good thing to do and a great way to support some excellent charities. It’s vital to have a will to safeguard your assets and ensure that your loved ones, especially children, are protected.

“During the Will Aid campaign last year we made over 200 wills for people from all over Wiltshire and Hampshire and hope to do the same for the 2015 Will Aid campaign.”

UK-wide the campaign is expected to raise more than £2 million.
