FAMILY-run bakery Reeve the Baker has reopened its Silver Street shop in Salisbury with a new artisan design. The business, which was started by Harold Reeve in 1934 in Barford St Martin, will return to baking breads and pastries in a glass-fronted oven in the shop. As well as the usual breads, cakes and pastries, there are also speciality breads and seasonal sandwiches, all displayed on shabby chic racks and stands.
MD Gary Reeve, grandson of Harold Reeve, said: “Our Silver Street shop was due to be refurbished and, rather than replicate what we already had, we wanted to do something different.
“We’ve always been craft bakers but most of our products are made in our bakery in Wilton overnight and then delivered to our 11 shops in the morning.”
