SHOPPERS in Salisbury are in for a treat when the farmers’ and artisan market returns – celebrating what’s on offer from local producers in the area.
The market, on March 1, is being held in the Market Place and will host more than 30 local food and craft producers, who make items within a 50-mile radius of the city. It will be open from 10am to 3pm and all the produce on sale has been created, made, grown, reared, caught, brewed, pickled, baked, smoked or processed by the stallholder.
There will also be live music throughout the day with performances from vocalist Jenni Monday to entertain shoppers while they browse around the market.
Shoppers are also being reminded that Culver Street car park is free on Sundays.
The farmers’ and artisan market is organised by Salisbury City Council.
Anyone interested in having a pitch at the market or would like to apply to perform at one of the markets or events, are asked to get in touch with the city council by going to salisburycitycouncil.gov.uk or by calling 01722 342860.
