THERE'S a great new opportunity for a fledgling business to occupy a prime spot at the city retail unit, thanks to a deal struck with Quantum, the owners of the Cross Keys Shopping Centre in Salisbury.

The chance of a three-month free-of-charge position within the centre is on offer to any retail or service business that wants to make its pitch to the judges of the CanDo campaign being run by the Salisbury and District Chamber of Commerce.

It follows the successful introduction of "Cool" to the shopping centre from the very first CanDo campaign.

The Can-do campaign saw Cool picked by a panel of five judges. The store has successfully negotiated a lease at Cross Keys for the business, which sells a variety of film, music and TV merchandise along with a selection of vinyl records.

Eddie Deighton, a partner with the An.X agency in Salisbury, said: "We are extremely pleased to be able to continue the success of last year’s campaign by announcing the opportunity for another business to take advantage of the initiative.

"It’s important to us that the Chamber is able to support businesses of all sizes and, with the benefit of our network and members it means, with a little generosity and assistance from existing businesses and individuals, we are able to work together to make the Salisbury economy grow.

“An empty shop or a vacant office in the city is potential. And an aspiring individual or team working from home or a small office with the desire to move up to that next level is now able to consider that dream thanks to the generosity of Quantum Group and the support of the Chamber.

“Applications are now being taken and you can contact info@salisburychamber.co.uk for more information. You do not have to be an existing member of the Chamber of Commerce or other business organisation to apply."
