CLARKS shoe shop in Salisbury has had a refit.

New window displays, furniture, display units and adult’s foot-measuring equipment has been introduced.

And the Salisbury store is also part of a trial which aims to make sure it has the right shoes for all of its customers.

The shoes it stocks will be based on the consumer profile of the city. New tablet computers enable shoppers to browse the whole Clarks offering online.

Manager Sarah Capewell said “We were really excited to open the doors to our new look store.”

Simon Jones, head of retail sales, said: “At Clarks we continually strive to deliver a great in-store experience, not only with our renowned customer service, but also through creating a fresh and exciting store environment. With this in mind, we have a programme to re-fit a number of our stores using our latest shop-fit design to create a more consistent and enhanced shopping experience.

“The new store design will allow us to showcase our stylish range of footwear in our latest premium, yet welcoming, format. We very much look forward to introducing this to our existing consumers as well as attracting new consumers to the brand.”
