THE TASK of finding businesses with the best growth potential in south Wiltshire has begun.

The Journal has started its search for young companies that have ambition and could benefit from a little extra help in their strategy and marketing.

The Local Business Accelerator Awards have been launched in partnership with the Salisbury and District Chamber of Commerce.

Bill Browne, Publisher of Salisbury Newspapers, said: “There is a great prize at stake here for three companies. Those selected at the end of the process will have a mentor, someone who has already proven their success in business, working alongside them plus the benefit of £2,000 worth of print, web and radio advertising courtesy of the Salisbury Journal and Spire FM.”

The judges, who will also be the mentors, have already been selected. They are: Amanda Newbery, co-owner of the Chapel Nightclub, David Clayton MD of Bassets Estate Agents, and Robert Newman, MD of MG Cannon.

If you have run a business for between two and five years then all you need do to register your interest is email editor@salisburyjournal.co.uk and put LBA in the subject box. You will receive an entry form and, once you have completed the details. Judging will take place on a date to be fixed in the autumn.
