WORKPLACE Pension Schemes and one of the biggest changes to their provision in the UK for generations will feature in a seminar being hosted by Salisbury Chamber of Commerce for their members.
Lee Perkes, of St James's Place Wealth Management, will introduce the new legislation on workplace pension schemes and the impact of auto enrolment at a taster seminar at The Vestry, Milford Street, Salisbury.
The seminar will appeal to business owners and those key staff members (predominantly staff dealing with payrolls) who need to oversee and undertake the practical in-house changes.
He said: “Whilst most employers want to do the right thing and comply with the law on this new scheme, it would appear that some of those staging early have fallen foul of the new penalty regime - primarily lack of planning and inadequate compliance procedures have left some employers failing to meet their auto enrolment duties. “
Members need to register through the Chamber’s website. Doors open at 7.45am for networking, refreshments and bacon rolls and the workshop will be drawn to a close by 9am.
