REDROW HOMES and Salisbury RFC have celebrated a successful season of sponsorship which culminated with the club's first XV gaining promotion.

The award-winning national housebuilder has supported the club, based at Castle Road, with a full set of with branded training tops and funding from sponsorship of the match programmes and pitchside boards.

It’s been a season full of excellent results: the first XV earned promotion back into South West 1 (East), while the second XV won the final of the Dorset & Wilts 2nd XV Shield.

Ted Taylor, commercial manager at Salisbury RFC, said: "Thanks to Redrow Homes for their support. Sponsorship gives us the money to spend in so many productive ways, such as coaching courses for the parents to help train the youngsters.

“It’s a really good for local businesses to get involved like this. Our aim is to be a community club and to help people get involved by keeping the costs down, and this kind of support helps us do that.”

James Barnes, sales director at Redrow Homes (Southern Counties), added: "Congratulations to Salisbury on a fantastic season. It’s a thriving community club and we're very proud to be among their supporters.

"Clubs like Salisbury help to make up the lifeblood of local neighbourhoods, for young and old. As a housebuilder delivering homes locally at Wilton Hill and Erskine Park, we're eager to give those efforts a boost."
