BRITZ in Salisbury has maintained its place among the UK’s top fish and chip shops by once again scooping the prestigious Fish and Chip Quality Award.
The awards follow on from Britz in Salisbury winning "Best Chippy Chips" in Wiltshire 2014/2015.
The National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF), the trade body that represents the Nation’s Fish & Chip shops, runs the scheme as a way of raising standards within the fish and chip trade and enhancing the profile of the industry.
The scheme is a way of rewarding and promoting shops that provide good quality products and high standards of hygiene, as well as friers who show a high level of competence.
Britz in Sailsbury manager, Helen Houghton said “We are so proud to have continued to achieve the Fish and Chip Quality Award. We work hard to maintain the highest standards we can.
"Preparing fresh chips on site daily with the highest quality potatoes. We source the best quality ingredients and our fish is responsibly sourced.
"We take great pride displaying The Quality Award we received from the NFFF in recognition of all three shops who all achieved this.”
