A 27-YEAR-OLD from Landford has gained his advanced diploma in funeral arranging and administration.
Timothy Babey, who has been with Will Case and Partners for eight years, started in the funeral profession at the age of 19.
Over that time he has studied towards an NVQ in BTEC Level 3, the first part of the course being the advanced certificate in funeral services and the second being the advanced diploma in funeral arranging and administration.
He said: “I started the first part of the course in 2009. It consisted of six units such as preparing the coffin, removal and care of the deceased as well as chapel viewings.
“I completed it in 2012 and then went straight on to do the advanced diploma, which consisted of a further six modules such as presenting memorial products and arranging a funeral. I completed it this year. I have learnt a lot which has helped me with the many aspects of my job.”
Will Case and Partners opened a new branch in Ludgershall last year and recently moved into larger premises in the centre of Amesbury. It is planning to refurbish its office in Stephenson Road, Salisbury later this year.
