DAVID Hart Aerospace won the Barclays Business of the Year Award.

The award for companies with a turnover of more than £5million was presented by Barclays senior business manager Sindy Dosanjh.

She said the company had a clear vision and business strategy which helped it achieve significant growth, despite massive internal changes.

She praised the firm’s “sheer determination” and “transparent, close working relationship with its customers”.

And she said she was hugely impressed by the work undertaken in the local community.
