COURIER vans at Salisbury District Hospital have been wrapped in recruitment ads as part of an ongoing campaign to attract more permanent nurses and limit the use of expensive agency staff.

Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development Alison Kingscott told the Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust board meeting last Monday: “We are continuing our active campaign for both nursing and all other staff. Three or four vans have been rewrapped at the back end.

“We’ve got lovely photos of our staff and promotional material about recruiting nurses at Salisbury. We are hoping that might generate a bit more notice around our recruitment.”

Hospitals across the country are struggling to fill posts due to the nationwide shortage of nurses.
