A HISTORIC pub is to extend into adjoining premises in one of Salisbury’s prime trading positions.

The 16th century Ox Row Inn will take advantage of additional trading space in the former La Mollina tapas restaurant, which has frontages on Butcher Row and Ox Row.

Myddelton & Major successfully sold the freehold with A3 use and premises licence to London brewer and pub company Fuller, Smith and & Turner for an undisclosed sum.

Simon Lee, retail partner at Myddelton & Major, said: “This is a rare freehold sale in one of Salisbury’s prime trading positions.

“With three floors, a frontage on the busy Butcher’s Row and a return frontage on Ox Row facing the refurbished Market Place, it is near many leading national chains and quality independent retailers and benefits from strong footfall.

“Sold freehold with vacant possession, it gives Fuller’s the opportunity to create additional trading space.

“This one of a series of sales and new lease deals for retail premises we have negotiated recently in Salisbury and the wider region recently.”

The Grade II-listed Ox Row Inn dates back to the 16th century.

Fuller Smith and & Turner is an independent traditional family brewer founded in 1845 and is based at the Griffin Brewery in Chiswick, London. The company runs just under 400 managed and tenanted pubs across London and the south of England.

The Fuller’s Beer Company brews a portfolio of premium beers including London Pride, ESB and Organic Honey Dew.
