SALISBURY Reds operations manager Alex Chutter paid a visit to the Stars Appeal to deliver the bus operator's latest fundraising contribution.

Workers from the firm spent December raising money by donning festive jumpers in the run-up to Christmas and raised just under £200.

Mr Chutter said: “Our drivers enjoyed using the festive season as an excuse to encourage donations to Salisbury Reds’ corporate charity - and this is just the start of what we hope will be a successful year of fundraising for the Stars Appeal.

“Delivering the cheque also gave us a chance to catch up on the charity’s latest initiatives. The team there does incredible work to help create the best possible experience for patients and their families here at Salisbury District Hospital.

“We are delighted to be playing our part by supporting them as much as we possibly can.”

Dave Cates, head of fundraising for the Stars Appeal, said: “Salisbury Reds are much-valued long term supporters of our work.

"Their ongoing support helps us improve care and change lives here at Salisbury District Hospital - and we want to say a big thank you to all the staff who got involved in this latest fundraising initiative.”

Salisbury Reds is also a sponsor of the forthcoming Walk for Wards, in aid of Stars Appeal. It takes place at Wilton House on Sunday, July 3.
