THE Orchard pub in Amesbury has reopened its doors after a major makeover.

The Archers Way business, which has reopened as a Generous George pub, has benefitted from a significant six-figure investment from Marston’s Inns and Taverns.

After being closed for just over three weeks it reopened on Thursday, June 22. Mayor Andrew Williams joined manager, Paul Brennan on the day as the guest of honour and officially cut the ribbon to mark the opening. The mayor enjoyed a tour of the revamped pub and got stuck in with making a pizza during his visit.

Paul Brennan, the manager of the Orchard said: “It is looking amazing. The refit has completely changed the pub and I am so excited for us to start the new chapter here.”

The food and drinks menus have been completely changed and the updated décor has breathed a new lease of life into the pub. The refurbishment has also bought a range of new jobs to the pub. The pub is still looking to take on an additional full and part-time members for both front and back of house from the local area.
