A SERIES of free repair workshops will open in Primark next week.
On Tuesday, February 13, free repair workshops will open in Salisbury's Primark store, in the Old George Mall.
It comes as part of the company's commitment to become a more sustainable and circular business under its Primark Cares strategy.
More than 100 events have already been run across the UK, Ireland and European stores, focusing on basic repair techniques including sewing hacks to empower people to repair and wear their clothes.
With no experience needed, attendees will also be given a reusable tote bag and a sewing kit to use at home.
Workshops covering basic sewing and mending skills like adding buttons and pockets as well as upcycling pre-loved clothing will be available for readers to attend.
The workshops will be hosted by fashion designer and lecturer Lorraine Mitchell, and bookings are live on the Primark Eventbrite page for readers to secure a free space.
For those who can’t make it, Primark has created a series of easy-to-follow videos, covering everything from how to thread a needle and basic stitching to sewing on buttons and zips, available on the Primark Repair Hub.
