A BUSINESS owner has been reduced to tears after a masked man broke into her shop and stole £2,000 worth of vapes.

Vape Point, an independent shop in the Old George Mall, was targeted by the burglar on Friday morning, March 1.

The man, who is pictured wearing a Guy Fawkes-type mask, arrived at the shop on a red mountain bike at around 4.38am and was seen looking around High Street before he tried to break in.

Business owner Suna Walker, who has lived in Salisbury for 20 years, watch the crime unfold on her mobile phone through a CCTV app and alerted the police, who arrived five minutes after the man fled the scene emptyhanded.

But two hours later, at roughly 6.47am, morning had broken and people were seen walking the streets yet the man returned armed with more tools and successfully gained entry to Mrs Walker's shop.

Approximately £2k worth of vapes were stolen and parts of the shop were damaged during the break-in.

This comes just three weeks after another burglary which saw a thief make off with around £3k worth of goods from Vape Point.

Mrs Walker opened the business six months ago and said she installed a security system after the first burglary.

She told the Journal: “I watched on the CCTV but I couldn’t do anything about it. I’m so frustrated, nothing scares them.

“It’s a small business, I’m already struggling and someone comes along and ruins it. This is the most secure place. If I can’t protect my shop here where else can I?"
