£30,000 speakers to go on sale
5:02pm Wednesday 19th September 2012 in Business By Morwenna Blake
NAIM Audio launched its most expensive and highest performing speakers to date at the Hong Kong High-End Audio Visual Show, and customers will be able to buy them from December.
The Salisbury-based firm presented the Ovator S-800 loudspeakers, which cost £30,000 a pair, at the show, launching them on the back of five years of research into the best design to maximise the listening experience, and have a new, customdesigned flat diaphragm bass unit that lowers distortion.
A new Balanced Mode Radiator (BMR) unit delivers a consistent response at both high and low frequency levels, removing the need for a separate tweeter.
