CONSTRUCTION and plant hire firm, Keen Construction, has opened its new flagship office in Downton.

The company, which specialises in civil engineering, residential development and site development and has an equestrian and landscaping division, was established in 2006 by managing director, Steve Keen.

It now has a turnover in excess of £7m and clients include Costain, Bovis, Tesco and Southampton University.

It has moved to Downton from Fordingbridge.

Mr Keen said: "It is a delight to be fully operational in our new offices and a pleasure to be able to see the company grow, develop and expand."

Graham Renshaw, director of NatWest Commercial Banking in Salisbury, put together a funding package for the new office premises.
