Thursday, July 13, 2006 ‘REAL LIFE APPRENTICE SET TO OPEN EXPO’ Salisbury & District Chamber of Commerce & Industry are delighted to announce that Ansell Henry, star of BBC2 series ‘The Apprentice’ is set to open the South Wilts Business EXPO 2006. Ansell, 34, was one of the finalists in the highly-competitive battle to become Sir Alan Sugar’s next ‘Apprentice’. Sadly for Ansell, however, it was the big chief’s final summing up of him as a ‘nice guy’ that left him hearing the dreaded words ‘You’re fired!’. ‘The Apprentice’ was watched by millions and now one of its stars will be in Salisbury to explain just what it was like to be in the firing line! Since appearing on BBC2, Ansell has returned to his hometown of Brighton where he is a senior sales manager for an international security company. He was born and raised in Wandsworth and was once a footballer with Millwall FC. Now he’s looking forward to his visit to the City Hall on Wednesday 27th September, when he will spend the morning talking to exhibitors and visitors alike, as well as answering questions. This exhibition is the only one of its kind organised in this area and attracts businesses not just from Salisbury but also from further afield. Companies realise this as an invaluable opportunity to promote their business and raise their profile, not only within the local business community, but also to members of the general public. Entry is free. There is a very limited number of stands still available, so we are urging would-be exhibitors to get in touch now! Please call us on (01722) 322708 to reserve your place. Due to the immense popularity of the BBC2 series, we are certain that with Ansell Henry opening the event, it will be a real crowd-puller!

It's EXPO time again! Now in its 4th successful year, the annual South Wilts Business EXPO returns and is taking place on Wednesday 27th September 2006 at the City Hall, Salisbury. This hugely popular event, organised by Salisbury & District Chamber of Commerce & Industry, has such a prominent role to play in Salisbury’s business calendar. As more and more businesses realise that this is the place to be seen, stands are often sold out at an early stage and interest in the exhibition is continually growing. Much positive feedback has been received from businesses that have previously participated, many of which secured their stands shortly after the success of EXPO 2005. Last year in excess of 70 organisations exhibited and 1000 visitors attended the event. With this being the only exhibition of its kind organised in the South Wilts region, more and more companies from Salisbury and further a field recognise this as an ideal opportunity to showcase their business and to introduce themselves to other businesses in the local community. Allowing for an opportunity to make new contacts in a professional yet relaxed environment, exhibitors find that the EXPO proves invaluable in moving their business forward. Anyone interested in exhibiting or wishing to find out more, should contact Salisbury Chamber of Commerce on 01722 322708 or eMail mail@salisburychamber.org.uk for a booking form.
