A SPECIAL assembly was held at a Salisbury school last Wednesday to celebrate one woman’s 25 years of service.

Beryl White has worked in the catering department at Leaden Hall School for a quarter of a century and has seen many changes over the years.

Between them, she and her husband Barry they have completed 52 years of service to the school, and she has no plans to hang up her cooking utensils yet.

Headmistress Julia Eager thanked Mrs White for her hard work so far and her stalwart contribution to school meals.

She received hand-made cards from every class and a special bear dressed in the school’s uniform, which was made by one of the parents, as well as a cake.
