HARD working youngsters from Trafalgar School in Downton have been raising the money they need to go on a trip to Borneo.

The students, who are in their final year at the school, will be heading off on the four-week trip in the summer when they will be taking part in building and reforestation projects.

They each have to raise £3,000 to take part and on Saturday they held a table top sale as part of this effort.

Martin Easterbrook, the school’s site manager, said: “The trip will be really hard work. They will be living very basically and it won’t be a holiday.”

The pupils have spent 18 months working to raise the money.
