GODOLPHIN School, at the top of Milford Hill on the eastern side of Salisbury, educates girls from three to 18 years in three separate yet interlinked sites.

The school was founded almost 300 years ago and is proud of its traditions as well as its cutting-edge facilities and ethos.

Girls can start in the nursery group when they are rising three – they do not have to wait for the beginning of a new term or of a new school year.

Godolphin Prep is registered with Wiltshire Council for the Nursery Education Grant and this currently provides an entitlement of 15 hours free per week.

Godolphin prep head Julia Miller said: “Godolphin Prep is unique in Salisbury as it is part of a whole school which educates girls from three to 18 years.

"The prep girls have the use of all the school’s facilities including the Performing Arts Centre, the art and science departments, the swimming pools and, of course, the boarding houses.”

Boarding is also available in three stages: junior for girls aged seven-12, senior for 13-16-year-olds and the Sixth Form Centre.

Currently almost 60 per cent of the school community board either as full boarders (seven nights), weekly boarders (five nights) or mid-week boarders (any three nights during the week).

Head Emma Hattersley said: “Godolphin is a warm and vibrant community where girls are encouraged to excel in areas where they are talented, but to also challenge themselves by stepping out of their comfort zones. said Mrs Emma Hattersley, Head.

“We are equally proud of those girls who go to Oxbridge as we are of those who choose to follow an alternative career path.”

Godolphin has moved away from traditional open days and runs a series of “snapshot mornings” throughout the year, where parents are encouraged to come and see the school as it is on a normal day.

Further information, including dates and details of the snapshots, can be found on the website at godolphin.org.
