BISHOP Wordsworth’s School is again delighted to offer 11+ familiarisation/ Key Stage 2 booster courses.

Classes are open to boys and girls in Year 5 as at September 2015 and will aim to strengthen their study skills in maths and English and also to give them the opportunity to gain some basic familiarity with the format of the respective 11+ questions. The three courses run for six weeks, commencing on Wednesdays, September 30, January 27, and May 11 between 4-5.30pm. Children will be in small classes with a maximum number of 15 in each and they will be taught by subject specialists.

There is a charge for enrolment of £15 per session, but there are either subsidised or free places for children whose parents are either in receipt of state benefits or who are in reduced circumstances.

Headmaster Stuart Smallwood said: “The classes are open to boys and girls whether they intend to take the 11+ exam or not.

Our aim is that children will work on generic study skills which should benefit their Key Stage 2 core subjects too.”
