STAFF and pupils at Wyvern College are celebrating after the completion of their £10million rebuild project.

Parents and the wider community have been looking around the new facilities since the start of the new school year.

The Bishop of Salisbury led a congregation of staff, parents, governors and students in a Eucharist to bless and give thanks for the new school.

Headteacher Paul German said: "The sense of community with clear Christian values is rooted in our identity as a school.

"This building is a wonderful opportunity to take the very best of who we are into an environment where the sky is the limit.

"Our ambition and energy is fantastic to see and we can offer an education that is both unique and excellent to boys in the Salisbury area."

Mr German praised building contractor Kier for their "superb workmanship and professionalism".

The final stages of the project, including demolition, continue for the next few months.

There will be a grand opening ceremony in November.
