HELLO everyone and welcome to the Journal Gang page. Wasn’t it exciting that the American President came to Stonehenge this week? Some families even got to meet him as they were walking around the stones. It’s not every day you get to meet one of the most important and powerful people while you’re on a day trip with your parents!

HELLO everyone and welcome to the Journal Gang page. The summer holidays are here again – woo-hoo! I expect you have lots of exciting things coming up over the next six weeks. It’s also a wonderful time of year to get out and about and enjoy the sunny weather. I know that lots of you were at the Larmer Tree Festival at the weekend, which is great fun for children. Here’s a picture of one of the children who took part in the crazy animal themed carnival – doesn’t he look wonderful? Please keep your pictures coming in over the school holidays; it’s always great to see what you have been up to and to share it with the rest of the Gang. This week we’re learning more about this year’s Summer Reading Challenge, which is being run at libraries across Wiltshire and young tennis stars of the future can enter the fabulous HappyBats competition.

HELLO Gang and welcome to the final Gang page of 2013. I hope that you had a lovely Christmas Day – did Santa bring you lots of exciting things? I hope that you all got some wonderful presents and are enjoying playing with all your new toys. Father Christmas swapped his sleigh for a camel when he visited Woodford Valley Primary School to meet the children.

HELLO everyone and welcome to the Journal Gang page. I know that lots of you are performing your Nativity plays this week and are getting ready to appear on stage dressed as a shepherd, angel, king or maybe even Mary or Joseph. It is always lovely to be in a Nativity play or to watch one, as it reminds us of the Christmas story, which is important at this time of year. If you are in a nativity play I hope that you have a lovely time and I’m sure that your families are really excited about seeing you on stage.
