HELLO everyone and welcome to the Journal Gang page. I know that lots of you are performing your Nativity plays this week and are getting ready to appear on stage dressed as a shepherd, angel, king or maybe even Mary or Joseph. It is always lovely to be in a Nativity play or to watch one, as it reminds us of the Christmas story, which is important at this time of year. If you are in a nativity play I hope that you have a lovely time and I’m sure that your families are really excited about seeing you on stage.

Here is a picture of the final runner up in the Lakeland cake baking competition, Laura Edmunds.

Laura cooked up this delicious chocolate cake and won some I Can Cook baking equipment.

This week sees the last Journal Gang competition of the year as we always have two weeks without competitions while you are busy celebrating Christmas.

But it is a real Christmas cracker, with family tickets to see the wonderful Robinson Crusoe and the Caribbean Pirates at Southampton’s Mayflower Theatre up for grabs.

We’re also finding out how children have been involved with planting a community orchard and we’ll be announcing who is celebrating their birthday in the week ahead.

See you next week for the Christmas Gang page!

Jill
